  • Alzheimer's Support Group - March 21

    Sponsored by the Alzheimer's Association and held on the third Wednesday of each month, this group is designed to support families who are facing Alzheimer's and related dementias with their loved ones. It provides an opportunity for individuals and families touched by this disease to find support, gain understanding, share caregiving tips and discover other helpful information.

  • LIVING WELL SEMINAR: "Tipping the Scale to Health" - March 21

    Many factors can cause unwanted weight gain in seniors. Fortunatley, by adopting a few lifestyle changes, you can maintain or improve your health while also shedding extra pounds. Get started toward achieving a healthy body through nutrition, exercise and behavioral skills! Offered in partnership with Family & Nursing Care.

  • PFNCA Exercise for Parkinson's Class - March 21

    Don't face Parkinson's alone! Brooke Grove Retirement Village is pleased to partner with the Parkinson Foundation of the National Capital Area (PFNCA) to offer exercise classes for those with Parkinson's or other neurodegenerative diseases. Classes aim to improve posture, balance and circulation while also increasing strength, muscle control and mobility. Classes are held each Monday and Wednesday throughout the year, with the exception of key holidays.

    Family members and other caregivers of Brooke Grove Retirement Village residents are invited to participate! Confidential sessions are held on the last Tuesday of each month (except December) and are facilitated by our professional staff. Consistent attendance helps to develop rapport, trust and continuity.

  • BGRNC Family Council Meeting - March 28

    Family Council is a self-led, self determining consumer group of residents, family members and friends who represent Brooke Grove Rehabilitation and Nursing Center residents. The group meets on the last Wednesday of each month.
